TEEG is a dedicated non-profit human service organization that provides assistance and support to families in the communities of Northeast Connecticut. Thompson Recreation hosts several events each year in support of TEEG including the Turkey Trot 5K, Holiday Bon Fire, and Halloween Laser Light Show.

TEEG offers a variety of programs and services including early childhood, youth services, senior services, and fuel/food assistance. Visit their website for a full listing.

The objective of the Thompson Little League shall be to implement firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger, happier children and will grow to be decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens. To achieve this objective, the Thompson Little League will provide a supervised program under the Rules and Regulations of Little League Baseball, Incorporated. All Directors, Officers, and Members shall bear in mind that the attainment of this exceptional athletic skill or winning of games is secondary, and the molding of future citizens is of prime importance.

The mission of the Thompson Public Library and Community Center is to provide the best possible informational, educational, cultural, and recreational services in a warm and inviting environment. 

The Thompson Public Library and Community Center is a 20,400 square foot facility. The collection consists of about 55,000 item - books, books of CD, DVDs, music CDs, 90+ magazine & newspaper subscriptions, and access to various online resources.

The Thompson Trails Committee builds, maintains, and promotes the use of public trails in Thompson, and works to connect Thompson trails to neighboring communities. We work with landowners, non-profit organizations and local, state, and federal officials. 

The Thompson Trails Committee has organized activities for the public including hikes, nature and historical walks, horseback rides, and canoe paddles.
