Join us for fun activities using sports to develop skills & coordination and which reinforce preschool concepts such as shapes, numbers and motor skills. Great for boys and girls! In each sport, we will cover the equipment used, how to play the sport and then play!
January: Hockey - the students will learn what surfaces hockey can be played on....ice hockey, street hockey and field hockey. They will learn ready position and the parts of the stick. How to shoot a forehand, backhand, slapshot and dribbling the ball. They will also learn about the goal and being a goalie.
February: Gymnastics - Gymnastics is a rolling, tumbling, and balancing curriculum. It also incorporates head stands, hand stands and cart wheels.
March: Volleyball - Beach volleyball is a session where the children learn about monster fingers to hit the ball with. They will have the chance to learn and practice two types of serves as well as hitting under the ball to get it to go up in the air. Lastly, they will learn about the court as well as enjoying some spiking fun.
April: Tennis - Learn about the parts of the racquet as well as forehand, backhand and serving.
May: T-ball - Learn about the game, bases and have fun hitting, throwing and catching.
June: Golf - Learn about types of clubs, what each club is used for, what a course is and what is on the course and practice golfing and keeping score.
